Salesforce Agentforce Vibes Paid Tier from June 2026

Starting June 1, 2026, Salesforce will transition Agentforce Vibes to a paid access model. Previously available at no cost, agentic chat functionalities within Agentforce Vibes will now require Flex Credits or a paid user license for most orgs.

Key Changes and Impact

Effective Date and Model Shift

  • June 1, 2026: Free access to Agentforce Vibes will cease for non-Developer Edition orgs.
  • Paid Access Required: To continue using agentic chat features in production or sandbox environments, organizations must utilize Flex Credits or procure specific AI user licenses.

Impact on Different Org Types

  • Developer Edition Orgs: These orgs will continue to have limited free access. The free tier will provide up to 110 requests with 1.5 million tokens using the Claude Sonnet 4.5 model. The previous hybrid model with GPT-5 and a fallback is being discontinued.
  • Non-Developer Edition Orgs (Production & Sandboxes): All other org types will require payment. This includes using Flex Credits or the Unmetered Platform Developer and Admin AI User Permission Set License to access Agentforce Vibes.

New Model Details

  • OpenAI GPT-5 Availability: Coinciding with the paid tier launch, OpenAI's GPT-5 model will become an available option for users. The previous fallback mechanism of 50 requests (1 million tokens) of 'Premium' usage with GPT-5 is no longer supported.
  • Token Limits: When free access is exhausted in Developer Edition orgs, users will need to wait for their token usage to reset. There will be no further fallback options.

Who is Affected?

This change directly impacts any user who has been leveraging Agentforce Vibes for development, contextual decision-making, or rapid prototyping. Organizations that have integrated Agentforce Vibes into their paid environments, utilizing org metadata for contextual AI capabilities, will experience the most significant shift in cost structure.

Developers using Developer Edition orgs for quick LWC prototyping or Flow development, where org-specific context is not critical, may find the limited free tier sufficient for basic tasks. However, intensive use cases, debugging, or iterative development will likely consume tokens rapidly.

Summary

While Agentforce Vibes remains a powerful tool for interacting with Salesforce metadata directly within an IDE, the move to a paid model presents a notable shift. Developers and architects will need to budget for Flex Credits or AI licenses to continue using these advanced AI capabilities. The new paid structure offers access to advanced models like GPT-5, potentially increasing the power of the tool for those who invest in it, but diminishes the free usage significantly for all.

Key Takeaways

  • Agentforce Vibes transitions to a paid model on June 1, 2026.
  • Non-Developer Edition orgs require Flex Credits or AI user licenses.
  • Developer Edition orgs retain limited free access with specific token and model constraints.
  • OpenAI's GPT-5 model becomes available with the paid tier.
